The torque test determines how accurately torque wrenches and screwdrivers apply the torque they are set to or indicate. The tool is mounted on a torque measuring system and loaded repeatedly at the points defined in the standard (usually 20%, 60% and 100% of its range). The deviation between the measured values and the set or indicated value is calculated.
Determined Values
- Measured torque at each test point
- Deviation from the set or indicated value (%)
- Conformity with the permissible deviation in ISO 6789-1
- Measurement uncertainty to ISO 6789-2
Applied Standards
- ISO 6789-1 – Hand torque tools, requirements and methods for design conformance testing and quality conformance testing
- ISO 6789-2 – Hand torque tools, requirements for calibration and determination of measurement uncertainty
Tested Tools
- Adjustable and fixed-setting (click-type) torque wrenches
- Indicating (dial and digital) torque wrenches
- Torque screwdrivers
Specimens
Please state the tool type, class, measuring range and square drive size in your request.
