In welded steel fabric, longitudinal and transverse wires are joined by welding. In the weld shear test, the welded joint is loaded in shear with a special fixture and the force at which the joint separates is measured, showing weld quality and conformity to the specification.
The test is performed with a method accredited by TÜRKAK under TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 (EN ISO 15630-2); results are issued as an accredited test report.

Specimens
Specimens are cut from the fabric with the weld to be tested in the middle; the weld must not be damaged while cutting.
