This test is applied to determine the chemical content of metallic materials with an optical emission spectrometer. When all known elements are exposed to electric current, they emit different characteristics. When these glows are analyzed and analyzed with a spectrometer device, it is seen that each element has its own spectrum line. Elements and quantities in metallic materials are determined according to these specified properties.
